After several conversations with Wayne Moore of Moore and Associates Engineering and Consulting of North Augusta, South Carolina during the fall of 2010, the New Windsor Cabinet Shop engineering drawings are complete.  Wayne did a wonderful job of taking our design ideas and developing them into a more complete and efficient design that will improve our visitor's experience.

Below are the four elevations and floor plan that he prepared for The Living History Park.  This set of engineering drawings is the third such set that Wayne has contributed to the park. Prior to this, he produced drawings for our Colonial Barn and The Thompson Academy.  By all indications, Wayne has created yet another outstanding design that will enhance the beauty of  the park.

Floor Plan - The 7' x 24' covered front porch and 20' x 24' shop interior will allow ample demonstration and observation space during events or provide a large enough area to host nicely sized classes throughout the year. The attached 8' x 14' ware room will allow visitors the opportunity to interact with the period furniture pieces as well as provide for a smooth flow of visitors through the shop during events.

Stay tuned and follow us as the New Windsor Cabinetmaker's Shop comes to life on the hillside of the North Augusta Living History Park!
